Flash Fiction Competition

After our succesfull Poetry Writing Competition, we (Damla & Liz) now organize a Flash Fiction Competititon!

The idea is to write a (very) short story and to share this with everyone. The voting will be done in the shop with everyone (readers + authors) present - 15 people max. For the ones interested in this writing competition but they know they can't be present at the event: it will be hybrid so you can always participate! 

Some important requirements

- length: max. 1000 words 
- participation with one short story (not published before, and written in English)

- start with the same first sentence

First sentence

​The smoke was dancing peacefully above the fireplace, gently wrapping around the logs as they burned slowly, softening the coldness in our hearts… then we heard that awful sound that would change our lives forever.
